I suppose in one way I can tell you my plans.

I've decided to stop doing animation for the time being to focus on my art and building my skills up. being a illustrator is always what I wanted to be anyway so..I digress.
At the moment I'm starting to build up a portfolio of work with different styles. One artist I'm looking to imitate some drawings from is Tadahiro Uesugi. Once that's done I plan to begin focusing on doing this old briefs I managed to obtain from a illustration/animation company I did work experience for. I believe this coupled with my portfolio will make them think of me more and potentially I'll get work from them.

One of the guys said to me when I' ready to contact editorial magazines as they're the bread and butter of illustrators so to speak. haven't got any in mind but I'll tackle that when it happens.
Another strategy is I'm currently studying japanese and French. I reside in the uk and as a freelancer work isn't always constant so when the pool dries up here I have the ability to go to other countries to pursue work/work experience. Build up my contacts.
so I'll essentially be jumping from country to country in my future. coupled with the fact I do animation/storyboards/animatics, HOPEFULLY there will be work for me.

I was under the impression you was already getting that paper though Oliver! your skills are off the chain. I better practice much harder.
